Altium, a global leader in electronics design systems, has introduced the Requirements & Systems Portal into its Altium 365 cloud platform, aimed at enhancing collaboration in electronics design. This new feature ensures that functional requirements are visible and accessible throughout the design process, from concept to manufacturing, ultimately improving product cost, quality, and risk management.
This launch follows Altium’s acquisition of Valispace, a systems and requirements engineering tool that integrates system design with a data-driven, AI-powered approach.
In the traditional electronics design process, PCB design engineers often work separately from system requirements, leading to disconnected workflows and rework. The Requirements & Systems Portal bridges this gap by allowing teams to write, manage, and verify requirements within the Altium 365 ecosystem. With access to the same real-time information, electrical engineers, managers, systems architects, and stakeholders can collaborate more effectively, ensuring they are all working with up-to-date specifications.
This new addition to Altium 365 extends the platform’s end-to-end capabilities, supporting Altium’s vision of connecting everyone involved in electronics development.
